Darfur report

The International Crisis Group has a new report out on the Darfur conflict. It doesn't offer any silver bullets, but it's well worth reading if you want to get an understanding of all the different players involved, both within Sudan and internationally. It's a messy situation. I read about this stuff every day, and I have a lot of trouble following all the different factions and peace initiatives. But recognizing that complexity is valuable in itself, I think. I've also been posting roundups of news on Darfur over at Africa Matters. I'm a little behind at the moment, but I hope to catch up soon.
