Our brand is orange

The lead challenger in Kenya's upcoming presidential elections, Raila Odinga (above), announced last week that he's hired Dick Morris as a campaign consultant. To be honest, I didn't really know who Dick Morris was when I heard the news. But apparently he made the cover of Time magazine twice in 1996. First, as a mastermind behind Bill Clinton's reelection campaign...

(On a side note, that's some pretty sweet graphic design, Time magazine)

Second, as the guy who left the campaign after it was revealed that he was regularly seeing an expensive prostitute

Peter Mwaura has a pretty good piece on the episode in this Sunday's Nation newspaper. And Shashank Bengali, the Africa correspondent for McClatchey newspapers has a blog post on the subject.

Also, Dick Morris has a blog. And Raila has a website.
