Bolano

I just finished reading The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano. I'd never heard of him before about a year ago, but I guess he's been a big deal in Spanish-language literature. He died a couple of years ago, and his books have started to be translated into English, and he seems to be getting a lot of attention now. The Savage Detectives is his masterwork, and it's pretty damn good, even if -like the other things I've read by him - it's basically just about writers.
