Omar al-Bashir and the ICC

Some more entries into the debate over the merits of an ICC indictment of Sudan's president:
  • John Prendergast's Enough project has a new report making the case for charging al-Bashir, citing the previous examples of going after Serbia's Slobodan Milosevic and Liberia's Charles Taylor.
  • Alex De Waal, in Open Democracy provides an overview of the debate being hosted on his SSRC blog, which I mentioned in an earlier post.
There have been a few more posts since De Waal's article, including...
  • Michael Davies, a humanitarian worker in Sudan, makes the case for deferring the request for 12 months.
  • Kathryn Sikkink of the University of Minnesota, weighs in on the pro-indictment side.
