Things keep getting worse in Somalia. The continued fighting between Ethiopian troops and Islamist-led insurgents has turned it into the worst humanitarian crisis in Africa, according to the UN, with over a million people displaced.
Mother Jones has an overview of the situation, by David Case. For more on how Somalia plays into the US War on Terror, Alex Perry has a piece in Time. Der Spiegel has an interview with one of the Somali Islamist leaders. And Stephanie McCrummen has a piece in the WaPo on what it's like for some of the displaced.
